On 22 October 2019, 170 health professionals from across the sector attended the event, with more than 100 joining by VC from all over the South Island.

On 2 November, GPs and other health professionals focused on improving the quality of care for stroke patients at the annual stroke study day, delivered jointly by the Stroke Foundation of New Zealand and the South Island Alliance’s stroke services team.
